HR 187: Honoring the Village of Tontogany on its Sesquicentennial.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1 1 General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize the Village of 2 2 Tontogany on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary; and 3 3 WHEREAS, This is, indeed, an auspicious milestone, and celebration 4 4 is certainly in order. Since its establishment, Tontogany has 5 5 prospered and flourished over the decades, and yet, even as its 6 6 residents have exuberantly embraced the promise of a bright future, 7 7 they have never relinquished their appreciation for the worthiest 8 8 virtues of the past. Without sacrificing their sense of tradition in 9 9 the name of progress, the people of Tontogany have managed to nurture 10 10 a fresh perspective and a positive outlook that endear this 11 11 distinctive place to all who know it well; and 12 12 WHEREAS, One hundred fifty years after it was founded, the Village 13 13 of Tontogany still radiates vitality, optimism, and a charm all its 14 14 own. Clearly, it is a place of many engaging qualities, and its 15 15 schools, businesses, and civic organizations both embody and thrive 16 16 upon the values of which our flag is an emblem; and 17 17 WHEREAS, Every state depends upon such durable communities as 18 18 Tontogany for its own survival and stability. Although it has known 19 19 adversity and tribulation, it also has been favored with its share of 20 20 blessings. In the years to come, the village is sure to remain on its 21 21 admirable course and to continue to transform challenges into 22 22 opportunities; therefore be it 23 23

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 24 24 the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 25 25 extend our congratulations to the Village of Tontogany as it observes ..... 26 26 its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary and offer our best wishes for its ..... 27 27 perennial good fortune; and be it further ..... 28 28 RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit ..... 29 29 a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Village of ..... 30 30 Tontogany. ..... 31 31
