A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring the Village of Baltimore on its Two Hundredth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Village of 2
Baltimore on its Bicentennial; and 3
WHEREAS, This is, indeed, an auspicious milestone, and celebration 4
is certainly in order. Since the establishment of Baltimore two 5
centuries ago, its residents have experienced dramatic growth and 6
change, and yet, even as they have exuberantly embraced the promise of 7
a bright future, they have never relinquished their appreciation for 8
the worthiest virtues of the past. Without sacrificing their sense of 9
tradition in the name of progress, the people of Baltimore have 10
managed to nurture a fresh perspective and a positive outlook that 11
endear this distinctive place to all who know it well; and 12
WHEREAS, Two hundred years after it was founded, the Village of 13
Baltimore still radiates vitality, optimism, and a charm all its own. 14
Clearly, it is a place of many engaging qualities, and its schools, 15
businesses, and civic organizations both embody and thrive upon the 16
values of which our flag is an emblem; and 17
WHEREAS, Every state depends upon such durable communities as 18
Baltimore for its own survival and stability. Although it has known 19
adversity and tribulation, it has also been favored with its share of 20
blessings. In the years to come, the village is sure to remain on its 21
admirable course and to continue to transform challenges into 22
opportunities; therefore be it 23
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 24
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 25

extend our congratulations to the Village of Baltimore as it observes 26
its Two Hundredth Anniversary and offer our best wishes for its 27
perennial good fortune; and be it further 28
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Village of 30
Baltimore. 31
