A RESOLUTION
Honoring Millersburg First Presbyterian Church on its
Bicentennial.
Bicentennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
Millersburg First Presbyterian Church on its Two Hundredth 3
Anniversary; and 4
WHEREAS, Since its inception, Millersburg First Presbyterian 5
Church has offered its members the pathway to a more meaningful life 6
by illuminating and demonstrating the precepts on which the 7
Presbyterian Church was founded. The spirit of love and Christian 8
fellowship that exists within the church also extends beyond those 9
sacred walls to touch the lives of everyone encountered by these 10
devout disciples; and 11
WHEREAS, Under the capable leadership of its pastors, both past 12
and present, Millersburg First Presbyterian Church has experienced 13
continual growth and has provided a source of moral guidance and 14
spiritual motivation for its congregation. Over the years, the church 15
has enhanced the quality of life within the area, and through its 16
generous efforts, it has earned the gratitude and respect of the many 17
citizens it has so capably served; and 18
WHEREAS, An occasion such as this is an important milestone that 19
represents dedication and commitment. For two centuries, the members 20
of Millersburg First Presbyterian Church have kept their faith alive 21
in the community, and on this special anniversary, they have accepted 22
the challenge of carrying their beliefs into the future; therefore be 23
it 24
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 25
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 26
commend Millersburg First Presbyterian Church on its Two Hundredth 27
Anniversary and pay tribute to all those joining in the celebration of 28
this joyous event; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Millersburg First 31
Presbyterian Church. 32
