Honoring the Olentangy High School baseball team as the 2025 Division I State Champion.
1WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1 General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Olentangy 2 High School baseball team on winning the 2025 Division I State 3 Championship; and
4A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 5 Olentangy High School baseball team have combined talent and spirit 6 with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves 7 as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the 8 Braves have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in 9 baseball, and as a result, they defeated a tough Springboro squad by 10 the score of 2-1 to win this year's Division I State Championship, 11 their first such title in program history, and finished the season 12 with an impressive $24-7-1$ record; and
13The Braves' achievements and leadership are a justifiable 14 source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their 15 families, their school, their community, and their coaches. In leading 16 this team to victory, the coaching staff has not only helped the 17 athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in 18 them a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; 19 and
20WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 21 in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased 22 to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding 23 coaches for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team 24 members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly 25 aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it
26RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of .....
27the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, .....
28commend the Olentangy High School baseball team on its tremendous .....
29season and salute the members and coaches as some of Ohio's finest .....
