A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Wheelersburg High School softball team as the 2025 Division V State Champion.
1WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1 General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Wheelersburg 2 High School softball team on winning the 2025 Division V State 3 Championship; and
5A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 5 Wheelersburg High School softball team have combined talent and spirit 6 with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves 7 as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the Lady 8 Pirates worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in 9 softball, and as a result, they defeated Liberty Union by the score of 10 10-0 to win this year's Division V State Championship, their fourth 11 such title in program history, and finished the season with an 12 impressive 28-0 record; and
14The Lady Pirates' achievements and leadership are a 14 justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the 15 players, their families, their school, their community, and their 16 coaches. Indeed, these skilled athletes have developed their talents 17 to the fullest and learned the value of determination, perseverance, 18 and camaraderie; and
20With athletic competition playing such an important role 20 in the total education of our young people, we are pleased to pay 21 tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coaches for 22 a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have 23 gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in 24 meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it
