Ohio · House · 136th General Assembly (2025–2026) · last verified March 23, 2025

What HR 24 does, verified March 23, 2025

The bill aims to adjust the travel reimbursement for members of the state house of representatives. Currently, each member receives a reimbursement based on the mileage from and to their residence, using the most direct public highway route. The bill proposes to pay travel allowances based on round-trip mileage for each member, as listed in the table. The bill authorizes the chief administrative officer of the house to pay travel allowances to the specified members based on their round-trip mileage. This change aims to provide a more accurate reimbursement for members' travel expenses.
