A RESOLUTION

Honoring Norman G. Boyd as the 2025 National Big
Brother of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
Norman G. Boyd on being named the 2025 National Big Brother of the 3
Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America; and 4

WHEREAS, The National Big Brother of the Year designation is given 5
to an individual who embodies the spirit of volunteerism and mentoring 6
through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, and this prestigious 7
honor is a fitting tribute to Norm Boyd for his exemplary work to 8
champion his little, Tyjon, for more than nine years. The respect and 9
admiration he has earned are clearly evident, and his accomplishments 10
are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not 11
only on him but also on his family and his community; and 12

A retired engineer and a former youth soccer coach for 13
the Greater Sycamore Soccer Association, Norm Boyd is truly a 14
remarkable individual, for he has combined civic concern and 15
dedication with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader 16
throughout his community. His unfaltering devotion to service and 17
achievement have distinguished him as a conscientious and hard-working 18
Ohioan, and we are certain that he will continue to display the same 19
unwavering commitment to excellence for which he has become known; and 20

Willingly giving of his time, energy, and abilities, Norm 21
Boyd has striven to better the world around him, and through his 22
generous contributions, he has gained the gratitude and esteem of 23
many. We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of 24
people such as he that the State of Ohio remains effective in meeting 25
the needs of its residents; therefore be it 26

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 27
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 28
commend Norman G. Boyd as the 2025 National Big Brother of the Year 29
and salute him as one of our state's finest citizens; and be it 30

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Norman G. Boyd. 33
