Honoring The Ohio State University spirit team as the 2025 UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend The Ohio State 2
University spirit team on its tremendous success at the 2025 Universal 3
Cheerleaders Association & Universal Dance Association College 4
Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship; and 5
WHEREAS, The Ohio State University spirit team is, indeed, to be 6
heartily applauded, for it decisively earned first place in the 7
Division IA spirit - game day category at this year’s UCA & UDA 8
College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship. The squad’s 9
performance reflects the outstanding collective effort by a gifted 10
group of athletes, and clearly, the hours spent practicing and 11
preparing were time well spent; and 12
WHEREAS, The members of The Ohio State University spirit team have 13
epitomized the power, poise, and precision that befit true champions. 14
Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have consistently maintained 15
their composure and morale. Time and again, they have risen to the 16
occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination, and 17
their impressive maturity and finesse have earned them widespread 18
respect, even among their most formidable rivals; and 19
WHEREAS, By prevailing over a host of adversaries, the members of 20
The Ohio State University spirit team have learned much about 21
dedication, self-discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their 22
national championship title is a measure of their stalwart commitment 23
to excellence, and their indomitable spirit has made their families, 24

friends, and coach incredibly proud; therefore be it 25
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay 27
tribute to The Ohio State University spirit team for outstanding 28
achievement and extend best wishes for a bright and successful future; 29
and be it further 30
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State 32
University spirit team. 33
