A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Hinckley Township on its Two Hundredth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Hinckley 2
Township on its Bicentennial; and 3
WHEREAS, Over the past two hundred years, Hinckley Township has 4
experienced dramatic growth and change, and yet, commendably, it still 5
radiates vitality, optimism, and a charm all its own. Since its 6
inception in 1825, the township has adapted to meet each new 7
challenge, and clearly, the community’s outstanding schools, 8
remarkable businesses, and astute civic organizations both embody and 9
thrive upon the values of which our flag is an emblem; and 10
WHEREAS, Even as they have exuberantly embraced the promise of a 11
bright future, the residents of Hinckley Township have never 12
relinquished their appreciation for the worthiest virtues of the past. 13
Indeed, they have managed to nurture a fresh perspective and a 14
positive outlook that continue to endear this distinctive place to all 15
who know it well; and 16
WHEREAS, Every state depends upon such vibrant, durable 17
communities as Hinckley Township for its own survival and stability. 18
Although having known adversity and tribulation, it also has been 19
favored with its share of blessings, and in the years to come, the 20
municipality is sure to remain on its admirable course and to continue 21
to transform challenges into opportunities; therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 23
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 24
extend our congratulations to Hinckley Township as it commemorates its 25

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hinckley Township. 29
