A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Avon High School boys soccer team on securing the 2025 Division II State Championship title.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Avon High School boys soccer team as the 2025 Division II State Champion; and
WHEREAS, The Avon High School boys soccer team has proven to be a talented and superbly conditioned squad and has gained the respect of fans and opponents alike for the spirited and highly motivated performance of its members. Throughout the season, the athletes worked diligently to improve their skills on the field, and as a result, the Eagles accomplished their goals, bringing home this year's state championship with a 1-0 overtime win against Kings Mills High School; and
WHEREAS, Known as a driven and determined team, the Avon High School boys soccer team has developed into a remarkably efficient group of players whose skill is equaled only by their exemplary display of teamwork. They are a credit not only to their families and their school but also to the superb leadership of their coach, Chris Dore; and
WHEREAS, The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring ability, endurance, and a positive attitude on the part of players and coaches alike. The members of the Avon High School boys soccer team have exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of competition, including courage, discipline, integrity, and good sportsmanship, and their efforts have earned them the admiration of all those who have witnessed these outstanding athletes in action; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the Avon High School boys soccer team on its 2025 Division II State Championship and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Avon High School boys soccer team.
