A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Newark Catholic High School girls volleyball team as the 2025 Division VI State Champion.
1WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 2General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Newark 3Catholic High School girls volleyball team on winning the 2025 4Division VI State Championship; and 5WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 6Newark Catholic High School girls volleyball team have combined talent 7and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish 8themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable 9dedication, the Green Wave have worked diligently toward attaining 10ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they defeated a 11tough St. Henry team in three sets to win this year's Division VI 12State Championship and finished the season with an impressive 27-0 13record; and 14WHEREAS, The Green Wave's achievements and leadership are a 15justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the 16players, their families, their school, their community, and their 17coach, Katie Hill. In leading her team to victory, Coach Hill has not 18only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but 19also instilled in them a valuable sense of determination, 20perseverance, and camaraderie; and 21WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 22in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased 23to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach 24for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have 25gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in ..... 26meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it .....
27RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 28the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 29commend the Newark Catholic High School girls volleyball team on its 30tremendous season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio's 31finest citizens; and be it further 32RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 33a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Newark Catholic 34High School girls volleyball team.
