The representatives of the 136th general assembly of Ohio are honoring the St. Henry's high school football team for winning the 2025 Division VII state championship. The team demonstrated exceptional talent, spirit, and good sportsmanship, defeating the Hillsdale team 37-3 in the final match. The team's achievements are a source of pride for the players, their families, school, community, and coach, Josh Werling, who played a crucial role in the team's success by instilling determination, perseverance, and camaraderie. The representatives acknowledge the importance of athletic competition in the education of young people and commend the team and coach for their outstanding performance.

A RESOLUTION
Honoring St. Henry's High School football team as the 2025 Division VII State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the St. Henry's High School football team on winning the 2025 Division VII State Championship; and
WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the St. Henry's High School football team have combined talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the players have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in their sport, and as a result, they defeated a tough Hillsdale team by the score of 37-3 to win this year's Division VII State Championship; and
WHEREAS, The St. Henry's High School football team's achievements and leadership are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their families, their school, their community, and their coach, Josh Werling. In leading his team to victory, Coach Werling has not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in them a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the St. Henry's High School football team on its tremendous season and salute the members and coach as some of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the St. Henry's High School football team.
