A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Thomas Jenkins, Jr. on receiving a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Thomas Jenkins, 2
Jr., on being presented with a Presidential Award for Excellence in 3
Mathematics and Science Teaching; and 4
WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious award is an honor of which 5
Thomas Jenkins can be justly proud, for he has been recognized for his 6
outstanding talents, his leadership skills, and his unwavering 7
devotion to his profession. A former STEM teacher at Greenon Local 8
Schools, he currently serves as the program manager for the 9
educational office at the National Museum of the United States Air 10
Force, and he has displayed a sincere dedication to educating and 11
inspiring the next generation of Ohio leaders; and 12
WHEREAS, Willingly contributing his time, talent, and seemingly 13
inexhaustible energy to learners of all ages, Thomas Jenkins has 14
demonstrated the importance of education and the potential of each 15
person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our 16
society. His work truly stands as the hallmark of concerned and 17
responsible citizenship; and 18
WHEREAS, Due to his exceptional efforts, Thomas Jenkins has helped 19
to guarantee a high level of success for all projects with which he 20
has been involved, and he has earned the respect and esteem of many. 21
We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed commitment of 22
conscientious people such as he that the State of Ohio continues to 23
grow and prosper and remains responsive to the needs of its citizens; 24

therefore be it 25
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 27
commend Thomas Jenkins, Jr., on his recent accolade and salute him as 28
one of Ohio’s finest educators; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Thomas Jenkins, Jr. 31
