The team, consisting of Annabelle Crissman, Kayla Crissman, Hannah Ison, Katie Ison, Makenzie Beavers, Gabby Lupshu, and Tateum Richard, has demonstrated exceptional talent, spirit, and good sportsmanship. The team's achievement is a source of pride for their school community, families, and head coach, Olivia Scott. The bill commends the team on their tremendous season and salutes them as some of Ohio's finest citizens. A copy of the resolution will be transmitted to the Minerva High School girls cross country team.

A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring the Minerva High School girls cross country team as the 2024 Division II State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Minerva High 2
School girls cross country team on winning the 2024 Division II State 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 5
Minerva High School girls cross country team have established 6
themselves as truly exceptional competitors by combining talent and 7
spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable 8
dedication, Annabelle Crissman, Kayla Crissman, Hannah Ison, Katie 9
Ison, Makenzie Beavers, Gabby Lupshu, and Tateum Richard have worked 10
diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in cross country, and 11
as a result, the Lions won the Division II state crown for the second 12
consecutive year and the third time in four years; and 13
WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Minerva High 14
School girls cross country team are a justifiable source of pride and 15
an excellent reflection on these long-distance runners, their 16
families, their school community, and their head coach, Olivia Scott. 17
Indeed, in leading the team to victory, Coach Scott has helped these 18
athletes to develop great talent by instilling the valuable lessons of 19
determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and 20
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 21
in the total education of our young people, we are pleased to pay 22
tribute to the exemplary athletes and the outstanding coaches of the 23
Minerva High School girls cross country team for a job well done. The 24
maturity and experience the team members have gained through their 25
participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the 26

challenges of the future; therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 28
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 29
commend the Minerva High School girls cross country team on its 30
tremendous 2024 season and salute the members and coaches as some of 31
Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further 32
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 33
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Minerva High 34
School girls cross country team. 35
