Honoring the Canal Winchester High School competition cheer team as a 2025 OASSA Division 2 State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Canal 2
Winchester High School competition cheer team on securing the 2025 3
Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators Division 2 Game 4
Day Building State Championship; and 5
WHEREAS, The Canal Winchester High School competition cheer team 6
is made up of tremendous athletes who have worked diligently to 7
showcase the collective talents of their exceptional squad. At this 8
year’s OASSA Division 2 State Tournament, the Indians decisively won 9
the state crown in the game day building category, and the members 10
amply demonstrated impressive determination, maturity, and finesse in 11
pursuit of this achievement; and 12
WHEREAS, This triumph reflects the staunch resolve of these young 13
individuals, and it signifies the acquisition of valuable experience 14
that is sure to benefit them in later life. Thanks to the tireless 15
efforts of an exceptional Canal Winchester High School competition 16
cheer team coaching staff, as well as the support of their Indians 17
community, these athletes have met the demands of an extensive 18
training regimen, and they have just cause for celebration; and 19
WHEREAS, All those who comprise the Canal Winchester High School 20
competition cheer team have set an excellent example of what a 21
dedicated group of athletes can achieve when guided by a committed 22
coaching staff and surrounded by loyal fans, sports families, and 23
boosters. These young competitors have certainly proven themselves to 24

be dynamic athletic leaders, and we are confident that as they meet 25
future challenges, they will take with them the valuable lessons they 26
have gained through their participation in cheerleading; therefore be 27

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 29
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 30
congratulate the Canal Winchester High School competition cheer team 31
on its 2025 OASSA Division 2 State Championship title and count its 32
members and coaches among the ranks of outstanding Ohioans; and be it 33

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 35
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Canal Winchester 36
High School competition cheer team. 37
