A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Hayden Hollingsworth as a 2025 OHSAA Division I Swimming Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Hayden 2
Hollingsworth on winning the 2025 OHSAA Division I Championship in the 3
50-yard freestyle event; and 4
WHEREAS, A student at Upper Arlington High School, Hayden 5
Hollingsworth has combined talent and competitive spirit with the 6
highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly 7
exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked 8
diligently to attain ultimate proficiency in swimming, and as a 9
result, she won the Division I State Championship title in the 50-yard 10
freestyle event for the third straight year, finished second in the 11
100-yard butterfly event, and was a member of the championship-winning 12
200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay teams; and 13
WHEREAS, Hayden Hollingsworth’s accomplishments and leadership, 14
both in and out of athletic competition, are a justifiable source of 15
pride and an excellent reflection not only on her but also on her 16
family, her teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her 17
unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and 18
esteem of many, and she is certainly deserving of high praise; and 19
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 20
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay 21
tribute to Hayden Hollingsworth on an exemplary season. Indeed, the 22
same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation 23
in swimming will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the 24
future; therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 27
commend Hayden Hollingsworth on her personal success and salute her as 28
one of Ohio’s finest young citizens; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Hayden Hollingsworth. 31
