A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring the Massillon Family YMCA on its Centennial.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Massillon 2
Family YMCA on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth 3
Anniversary; and 4
WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 5
tribute to the Massillon Family YMCA, for throughout the last century, 6
it has attained a remarkable record of service to the area. Since its 7
establishment in 1925, it has offered a wide variety of facilities and 8
activities to local citizens of all ages, and its accomplishments are 9
a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only 10
on the organization itself but also on its hard-working staff and 11
volunteers and on its devoted members; and 12
WHEREAS, Over the years, the Massillon Family YMCA has enhanced 13
the quality of life within the surrounding area, and through its 14
generous contributions, it has earned the respect and gratitude of the 15
many citizens it has so capably served. We are certain that as this 16
worthy enterprise maintains its unfaltering dedication to service and 17
achievement, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has 18
been the hallmark of the YMCA since its inception; and 19
WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing 20
efforts of agencies such as the Massillon Family YMCA that Ohio has 21
gained a reputation as a state that is responsive to the needs of its 22
citizens and has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work. 23
This fine establishment is truly deserving of high praise; therefore 24

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26

the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 27
commend the Massillon Family YMCA on its One Hundredth Anniversary and 28
extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Massillon Family 31
YMCA. 32
