Honoring the Jackson High School competition cheerleading team as the 2025 OAC and OHSCCA State Champions.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to 2
the Jackson High School competition cheerleading team on winning first 3
place in its division at the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference State 4
Championship and the 2024 Ohio High School Cheerleading Coaches 5
Association competitions; and 6
WHEREAS, The talented athletes of the Jackson High School 7
competition cheerleading team are, indeed, to be commended for their 8
remarkable fitness and competitive drive, qualities that have figured 9
prominently in their impressive performance this season. To their 10
credit, members Abi Baker, Abby Barnett, Addyson Dailey, Alana 11
Stockmeister, Alexus Helman, Bralee Lyons, Breleigh Sturgill, Bryn 12
Denney, Bryn McGhee, Bryn Tripp, Brynlee Smalley, Cannon Stiffler, 13
Daycee Howard, Emily Wiggins, Hannah Pennington, Izzy Swisher, Jada 14
Montgomery, Keirsten Snyder, Kinslee Leach, Lexi Butcher, Madi 15
McElfresh, Mattison Robbins, Mckinlee Lizon, McKinley Riley, Olivia 16
Rogers, Addy Scherer, Olivia Taylor, Preslee Leach, Sophie Williams, 17
and Tayler Williams could always be counted on to execute even the 18
most demanding routines with agility, precision, exuberance, and 19
grace; and 20
WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of their coaches, Cortney 21
Butcher and Tiffany Boggs, the members of the Jackson High School 22
competition cheerleading team have trained tirelessly in order to 23
ensure peak physical and mental conditioning, and their exceptional 24
prowess has earned them many admirers. Participation in this sport has 25

enabled them to learn much about creative expression, discipline, and 26
dedication, and clearly, the experience they have acquired is certain 27
to benefit them in the years to come; and 28
WHEREAS, Their enthusiastic spirit and love of sports has led all 29
those who comprise the Jackson High School competition cheerleading 30
team to take part in many activities, and they have served as an 31
inspiration to their peers. Their accomplishments are a justifiable 32
source of pride and an excellent reflection not only on them but also 33
on their families, their coaches, their school, and their community; 34
therefore be it 35
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 36
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 37
applaud the Jackson High School competition cheerleading team for 38
exemplary achievement and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and 39
be it further 40
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 41
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Jackson High 42
School competition cheerleading team. 43
