Honoring The Ohio State University pistol team as the 2025 National Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud The Ohio State 2
University pistol team on winning the 2025 Intercollegiate Pistol 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, All those who comprise The Ohio State University pistol 5
team have proven themselves to be talented and superbly conditioned, 6
and they have gained the respect of fans and opponents alike for their 7
spirited and highly motivated performance. Throughout the season, the 8
expert shooters worked diligently to improve their skills, and as a 9
result, the Buckeyes accomplished their goals, bringing home this 10
year’s state championship, their fifth consecutive title and sixth 11
crown since 2018; and 12
WHEREAS, Known for their drive and determination, the Buckeyes 13
have developed into a remarkably efficient group of sharpshooters 14
whose skill is equaled only by their exemplary display of natural 15
ability. They are a credit not only to their families and their school 16
but also to the esteemed leadership of their coach, Emil Milez; and 17
WHEREAS, The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring 18
ability, endurance, and a positive attitude on the part of athletes 19
and coaches alike. The members of The Ohio State University pistol 20
team have exemplified all of the characteristics that are essential 21
for success both in and out of competition, including courage, 22
discipline, integrity, and good sportsmanship, and their efforts have 23
earned them the admiration of all those who have witnessed these 24
outstanding athletes in action; therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 27
praise The Ohio State University pistol team on its 2025 28
Intercollegiate Pistol Championship and extend best wishes for the 29
years to come; and be it further 30
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 31
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State 32
University pistol team. 33
