A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Makennah Craft on securing the 2025 Girls Wrestling State Championship in the 100-pound weight class.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Makennah Craft 2
as a 2025 OHSAA State Wrestling Champion; and 3
WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and 4
dedication during the 2024-2025 season, Makennah Craft has certainly 5
distinguished herself as one of the most talented wrestlers in the 6
state. A senior member of the Jackson High School girls wrestling 7
team, she demonstrated her drive and skill by winning the state crown 8
this year, becoming only the fifth girl in state history to win four 9
state titles, and her outstanding 44-0 record this season caps a two- 10
year undefeated streak; and 11
WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Makennah 12
Craft has consistently exhibited the talent, integrity, and motivation 13
that are the hallmarks of a true champion. Indeed, she has inspired 14
her teammates, thrilled her fans, gained the respect of her opponents, 15
and made her family, her coaches, and her community very proud; and 16
WHEREAS, Participation in wrestling has enabled Makennah Craft to 17
learn much about commitment, self-discipline, and leadership. 18
Commendably, she has revealed the skill, strength, and stamina that 19
befit a standout athlete, and it is no surprise that she has won so 20
many admirers. The remarkable skill and experience she has shown as a 21
wrestler will be of great benefit as she forges a bright, promising 22
future; therefore be it 23
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 24

the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 25
congratulate Makennah Craft as the 2025 State Champion in girls 26
wrestling in the 100-pound weight class and look with optimism to her 27
continued success; and be it further 28
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 29
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Makennah Craft. 30
