Honoring the Upper Arlington High School ice hockey team on winning the 2025 OHSAA State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to salute the Upper Arlington 2
High School ice hockey team as the 2025 Ohio High School Athletic 3
Association State Champion; and 4
WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, the 5
Upper Arlington High School ice hockey team is an impressive group of 6
athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. At the 2025 State 7
Championship final, the squad bested St. Ignatius 5-2 to win the 8
program’s first state title in nearly fifty years, and this victory 9
will be celebrated for many years to come; and 10
WHEREAS, The members of the Upper Arlington High School ice hockey 11
team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a dynamic force 12
in high school sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes can be proud 13
of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved throughout the 14
season; and 15
WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of 16
sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of the Upper Arlington High 17
School ice hockey team have primed themselves under the guidance of 18
Coach Craig Hagkull and his team of assistant coaches to reach their 19
full potential. Indeed, the Golden Bears have demonstrated remarkable 20
energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in all of their endeavors; 21
therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 23
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 24
recognize the Upper Arlington High School ice hockey team on its 25

tremendous prowess; and be it further 27
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 28
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Upper Arlington 29
