HR 7: Relative to certain letters to be signed by the Speaker of the House on behalf of the House and sent to persons or groups in lieu of any resolutions on the subject.
The bill allows the Speaker of the House to sign letters of commendation, congratulations, or condolence on behalf of the House to individuals or organizations upon request from a member. The Speaker has discretion to decide which letters to sign. The letters will be sent to the designated recipients in the request. This allows for a more streamlined process for expressing support or condolences to individuals or groups.
