A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring the Bellevue High School girls basketball team as the 2025 Division IV State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Bellevue High 2
School girls basketball team on winning the 2025 Division IV State 3
Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 5
Bellevue High School girls basketball team have established themselves 6
as truly exceptional competitors by combining talent and spirit with 7
the highest ideals of good sportsmanship. With admirable dedication, 8
the Lady Reds have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate 9
proficiency on the court, and as a result, they defeated a tough 10
Archbishop Alter High School team by the score of 40-29 to win this 11
year’s Division IV State Championship; and 12
WHEREAS, The achievements and leadership of the Bellevue High 13
School girls basketball team are a justifiable source of pride and an 14
excellent reflection on the players, their families, their school 15
community, and their head coach, Kory Santoro. Indeed, in leading the 16
team to victory, Coach Santoro has helped these athletes to develop 17
great talent by instilling the valuable lessons of determination, 18
perseverance, and camaraderie; and 19
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 20
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay 21
tribute to the exemplary athletes and the outstanding coaches of the 22
Bellevue High School girls basketball team for a job well done. The 23
maturity and experience the team members have gained through their 24
participation in sports will greatly aid them in meeting the 25
challenges of the future; therefore be it 26

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 27
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 28
commend the Bellevue High School girls basketball team on its 29
tremendous 2024-2025 season and salute the members and coaches as some 30
of Ohio’s finest citizens; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 32
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Bellevue High 33
School girls basketball team. 34
