Honoring the Purcell Marian High School girls basketball team as the 2025 Division III State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Purcell
Marian High School girls basketball team on securing the 2025 Division 3
III State Championship; and 4
WHEREAS, The talented Purcell Marian High School girls basketball 5
team is, indeed, to be heartily commended for decisively earning this 6
year’s Division III State Championship title, the fourth consecutive 7
OHSAA crown in program history. The squad’s performance this season, 8
including its 72-44 victory over Avon Lake, reflects the outstanding 9
collective effort by a gifted group of athletes, and without 10
exception, the team has devoted countless hours to training and 11
practice in order to ensure peak conditioning. Clearly, this demanding 12
regimen has paid handsome dividends; and 13
WHEREAS, The members of the Purcell Marian High School girls 14
basketball team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that 15
befit true champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have 16
consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting 17
strength, speed, stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. 18
Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating 19
their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and 20
finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most 21
formidable rivals; and 22
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a 23
host of adversaries, the members of the Purcell Marian High School 24

girls basketball team have learned much about dedication, self- 25
discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is 26
a measure of their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their 27
indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and coach, Jamar 28
Mosley, incredibly proud; therefore be it 29
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 30
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 31
applaud the Purcell Marian High School girls basketball team on its 32
brilliant 2025 season and wish its members continued success in all of 33
their future endeavors; and be it further 34
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 35
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Purcell Marian 36
