A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Collin Sullivan on winning a 2025 Division III State Wrestling Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 136th 1
General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud Collin Sullivan as the 2
2025 Division III State Wrestling Champion in the 285-pound weight 3
class; and 4
WHEREAS, This accomplishment is truly noteworthy, for Collin 5
Sullivan has clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well 6
as his mental and physical fortitude. As this year’s Division III 7
State Champion in the 285-pound weight class, he holds the special 8
distinction of being his school’s first wrestling champion in program 9
history, and in winning this crown, he has exemplified all of the 10
characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of the 11
sports world, including courage, determination, and an innate sense of 12
the principles of good sportsmanship; and 13
WHEREAS, In displaying such outstanding prowess as a member of the 14
Fairless High School wrestling team, Collin Sullivan has earned the 15
appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, 16
and the respect of even his most determined rivals. Competition in 17
athletics has enabled him to learn much about dedication and 18
self-discipline, and we take this opportunity to acknowledge his 19
exemplary record of achievement; and 20
WHEREAS, Wrestling is a sport that requires exceptional strength, 21
stamina, and natural ability, and Collin Sullivan is to be commended 22
for his commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining his 23
athletic goals, he has consistently exhibited the skill and integrity 24
that are the hallmarks of a true champion; therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of 26
the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, 27
congratulate Collin Sullivan on his personal success and salute him as 28
one of Ohio’s finest young citizens; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit 30
a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Collin Sullivan. 31
