SB 156: Regards the success sequence curriculum
This bill aims to enact sections regarding the success sequence, a framework based on research that shows individuals who complete high school, get full-time work, and marry before having children are less likely to live in poverty in adulthood. The department of education and workforce will develop standards and a model curriculum for grades six to twelve, which will include evidence describing the positive personal and societal outcomes associated with the success sequence. The department will establish a committee to review the standards and model curriculum, and instructional materials aligned with them. The department may also propose revisions to the success sequence standards and model curriculum for review and comment by educators, business leaders, and other individuals.
