SB 189: Create the COSI specialty license plate
The bill creates a new specialty license plate called "COSI" in honor of the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, Ohio. The revenue generated from this license plate will be deposited into a new fund called the "License Plate Contribution Fund." The fund will be used to support the operations and programs of COSI. The registrar of motor vehicles will collect contributions for the license plate and pay them into the fund.

To amend section 4501.21 and to enact section 1 4503.742 of the Revised Code to create the 2 "COSI" specialty license plate.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 4501.21 be amended and section 4503.742 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 4501.21. (A) There is hereby created in the state treasury the license plate contribution fund. The fund shall consist of all contributions for specialty license plates paid by motor vehicle registrants and collected by the registrar of motor vehicles pursuant to the Revised Code sections referenced in division (B) of this section.
(B) The registrar shall pay the contributions the registrar collects in the fund as follows:
