A RESOLUTION

Honoring Lila Bendick on winning the 2025 Division I State Long Jump Championship.

1WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1 of Ohio are pleased to recognize Lila Bendick as the 2025 Division I 2 State Track and Field Champion in the long jump; and
3WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and 4 dedication during the 2025 season, Lila Bendick certainly 5 distinguished herself as one of the most talented athletes in Ohio. At 6 this year's Division I State Meet, she won the long jump championship, 7 and she is deserving of acknowledgement; and
8WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Lila Bendick 9 has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation 10 that are the hallmarks of a true champion. A standout for the 11 Olentangy Liberty High School track and field team, she has inspired 12 her teammates, thrilled her fans, gained the respect of her opponents, 13 and made her coaches, family, and community proud; and
14WHEREAS, In a society that seeks to teach the future leaders of 15 our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards 16 of individual effort, athletic competition has become a valuable 17 educational tool. Clearly, Lila Bendick has learned much about 18 excellence as an athlete, and she has made a significant impact on 19 high school track and field in our state; therefore be it
20RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 21 Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to Lila 22 Bendick on her track and field success and offer best wishes for the 23 years ahead; and be it further
