A RESOLUTION

Honoring C.J. Sanna as the 2025 Division I State Discus Champion.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1 of Ohio are pleased to recognize C.J. Sanna on winning the 2025 2 Division I State Track and Field Championship in the discus; and

WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and 4 dedication during the 2025 season, C.J. Sanna certainly distinguished 5 himself as one of the most talented throwers in Ohio. A member of the 6 Olentangy High School track and field team, he prevailed in his event 7 at this year's Division I State Meet, and he is deserving of the 8 highest praise; and

WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, C.J. Sanna 10 has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation 11 that are the hallmarks of a true champion. He has inspired his 12 teammates, thrilled his fans, gained the respect of his opponents, and 13 made his coaches, family, and community proud; and

WHEREAS, C.J. Sanna is truly worthy of acknowledgement for the 15 formidable athletic gifts and the competitive spirit that he has so 16 amply revealed throughout this past season. Clearly, he has learned 17 much about excellence as an athlete, and he has made a significant 18 impact on high school track and field in our state; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 20 Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to C.J. 21 Sanna on his success and extend best wishes for the future; and be it 22 further 23

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 24 authenticated copy of this Resolution to C.J. Sanna. 25
