Honoring Matthew Schroff on securing first place in the 1600-meter run at the 2025 Division I State Track and Field Meet.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1 of Ohio are pleased to applaud Matthew Schroff as the 2025 Division I 2 State Track and Field Champion in the 1600-meter run; and3

WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional form, ability, leadership, and 4 dedication as a senior member of the Olentangy Orange High School boys 5 track and field team, Matthew Schroff has certainly distinguished 6 himself as one of the most talented runners in Ohio. At this year's 7 Division I State Meet, he placed first in the 1600-meter run with a 8 time of 4:07.45, and he is deserving of admiration; and9

WHEREAS, Athletes such as Matthew Schroff exemplify the qualities 10 necessary for excellence in any sport, including discipline, agility, 11 conditioning, and focus. Throughout long hours of practice and 12 competition, he has consistently demonstrated the talent and 13 motivation that are the key to success in any endeavor; and14

WHEREAS, Despite sometimes grueling pressure, Matthew Schroff has 15 consistently maintained his composure and morale, exhibiting strength, 16 speed, and stamina in every challenging encounter.
