4WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 5of Ohio are pleased to commend the Lexington High School boys 4x800- 6meter relay team as the 2025 Division I State Champion; and
7WHEREAS, The Lexington High School boys 4x800-meter relay team has 8proven to be a talented and superbly conditioned squad and has gained 9the respect of fans and opponents alike for the spirited and highly 10motivated performance of its members. Throughout the season, the 11athletes worked diligently to improve their skills on the track, and 12as a result, the Minutemen accomplished their goals, including 13bringing home this year's Division I State Championship title with a 14time of 7:37.65; and
15WHEREAS, Known as a driven and determined team, the Lexington High 16School boys 4x800-meter relay team has developed into a remarkably 17efficient group of runners whose skill is equaled only by their 18exemplary display of teamwork. They are a credit not only to their 19families and their school but also to the superb leadership of their 20coaches; and
21WHEREAS, The road to victory is a difficult one, requiring 22ability, endurance, and a positive attitude on the part of the members 23and coaches alike. The Minutemen have exemplified all of the 24characteristics that are essential for success both in and out of 25competition, including courage, discipline, integrity, and good 26sportsmanship, and their efforts have earned them the admiration of 27all those who have witnessed these outstanding athletes in action;
29RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 30Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, salute the Lexington 31High School boys 4x800-meter relay team on its 2025 Division I State 32Championship and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it 33further .....
