A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Anthony Wayne High School baseball team as the 2025 Division II State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1 of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Anthony Wayne High School 2 baseball team on winning the 2025 Division II State Championship; and
WHEREAS, The talented Anthony Wayne High School baseball team is, 4 indeed, to be heartily commended for decisively earning the 2025 Division II State Championship title, the first in program history, and finishing the season with an impressive $25-4$ record. The squad's performance reflects the outstanding collective effort by a gifted 8 group of athletes, and without exception, the team has devoted 9 countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak 10 conditioning. Clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome 11 dividends; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Anthony Wayne High School baseball 13 team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that befit true 14 champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have consistently 15 maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, 16 stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. Time and again, 17 they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging 18 determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse have earned 19 them widespread respect, even among their most formidable rivals; and
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a 21 host of adversaries, the members of the Anthony Wayne High School 22 baseball team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, 23 leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is a measure of 24 their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit 25 has made their families, friends, and coach incredibly proud;
