A RESOLUTION
Honoring the St. Francis DeSales High School girls lacrosse team as the 2025 Division II State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1 of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the St. Francis DeSales High 2 School girls lacrosse team on winning the 2025 Division II State 3 Championship; and4
WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of the 5 St. Francis DeSales High School girls lacrosse team have combined 6 talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to 7 establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable 8 dedication, the Stallions have worked diligently toward attaining 9 ultimate proficiency in lacrosse, and as a result, they defeated a 10 tough Hathaway Brown team by the score of 15-9 to win this year's 11 Division II State Championship and finished the season with an 12 impressive 22-1 record; and13
WHEREAS, The Stallions' achievements and leadership are a 14 justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the 15 players, their families, their school, their community, and their 16 coach, Abby Wickerham. In leading her team to victory, Coach Wickerham 17 has not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the 18 fullest but also instilled in them a valuable sense of determination, 19 perseverance, and camaraderie; and20
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 21 in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased 22 to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coach 23 for a job well done.
