A RESOLUTION
Honoring the East Palestine Fire Department on its One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1 of Ohio are pleased to commend the 2 East Palestine Fire Department on 3 the One Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary of its founding; and
WHEREAS, Recognition of this milestone is a fitting tribute to the 4 East Palestine Fire Department, for since its inception, this 5 praiseworthy organization has attained an admirable record of service 6 to the community. Established in 1875, the agency has been a vital 7 instrument for local safety, responding to even the most challenging 8 of emergencies with speed and professionalism, and its commitment to 9 excellence has been clearly visible in all of its endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Over the past century and a half, the East Palestine Fire 11 Department has witnessed many changes in the field of emergency 12 services, and it has worked diligently to keep pace with these 13 challenges. Indeed, the agency's achievements are a justifiable source 14 of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the department 15 itself but also on its on its diligent firefighters and on the entire 16 community; and
WHEREAS, While many people are content to take a passive role in 18 life, the members of the East Palestine Fire Department have often 19 risked their own safety to ensure the well-being of their fellow 20 citizens, and the enthusiasm and devotion to duty that they have shown 21 have earned them the gratitude and respect of the community they have 22 so capably served. We are certain that as they maintain their 23 dedication to service, these individuals will continue in the 24 tradition of excellence that has long been the department's hallmark; 25 therefore be it
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General ..... 27 Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the East ..... 28 Palestine Fire Department on the auspicious occasion of its One ..... 29 Hundred Fiftieth Anniversary and salute its members as some of Ohio's ..... 30 finest citizens; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly ..... 32 authenticated copy of this Resolution to the East Palestine Fire ..... 33 Department.
