Honoring Ella Borstelman as the 2025 Division II

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to honor Ella Borstelman on winning the 2025 2
Division II State Diving Championship; and

WHEREAS, Ella Borstelman's outstanding ability and spirited drive, 4
as well as her skill and tenacity, have distinguished her as a 5
superior athlete and an exemplary member of the Napoleon High School 6
girls swimming and diving team. At this year's Division II State Meet, 7
she placed first in diving with a score of 431.75 and became the 8
second state champion in area history. Without a doubt, she has gained 9
the respect and admiration of all those who have witnessed her in 10
action; and
as well as her skill and tenacity, have distinguished her as a 5
superior athlete and an exemplary member of the Napoleon High School 6
girls swimming and diving team. At this year's Division II State Meet, 7
she placed first in diving with a score of 431.75 and became the 8
second state champion in area history. Without a doubt, she has gained 9
the respect and admiration of all those who have witnessed her in 10

WHEREAS, Few sports embody the spirit of individual accomplishment 12
more than diving. Athletes such as Ella Borstelman exemplify the 13
qualities necessary for excellence in any sport, including discipline, 14
agility, conditioning, and focus. Indeed, throughout long hours of 15
practice and competition, she has consistently demonstrated the talent 16
and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion; and

competition that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to her 23
throughout her lifetime; therefore be it
