A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Miami Fort Power Plant on its Centennial.
1WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1 of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Miami Fort Power Plant on the 2 auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated 3 December 11, 2025; and
5WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting 5 tribute to the Miami Fort Power Plant, for throughout the past one 6 hundred years, this fine facility has attained a remarkable record of 7 service. Beginning operations in 1925, the station is currently 8 operated by the Vistra Corporation, generating numerous megawatts of 9 electricity for a large region; and
11WHEREAS, The success of the Miami Fort Power Plant is a 11 justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on 12 the venture itself but also on its astute management and hard-working 13 employees. Due to their vision and initiative, this respected 14 enterprise has earned the gratitude and appreciation of many, and it 15 is truly deserving of high praise; and
17WHEREAS, Over the past century, the Miami Fort Power Plant has 17 enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area. We are 18 certain that as this noteworthy establishment maintains its 19 unfaltering dedication to service and achievement, it will continue to 20 uphold the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; 21 therefore be it
23RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 23 Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Miami Fort 24 Power Plant on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes
