WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1 of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Thomas Worthington High School 2 field hockey team as the 2025 Division I State Champion; and
The Thomas Worthington High School field hockey team is 4 made up of remarkable athletes who have worked diligently to showcase 5 the collective talents of their exceptional squad. At this year's 6 Division I State Tournament, the Cardinals won a fourth consecutive 7 state crown with a score of 3-1, and the members amply demonstrated 8 impressive determination, maturity, and finesse in pursuit of this 9 achievement; and
This triumph reflects the staunch resolve of these young 11 individuals, and it signifies the acquisition of valuable experience 12 that is sure to benefit them in later life. Thanks to the tireless efforts of an exceptional Thomas Worthington High School field hockey 14 team coaching staff, including Coach Terri Simonetti, as well as the 15 support of the Cardinals community, these athletes have met the 16 demands of an extensive training regimen, and they have just cause for 17 celebration; and
All those who comprise the Thomas Worthington High School 19 field hockey team have set an excellent example of what a dedicated 20 group of athletes can achieve when guided by a committed coaching 21 staff and surrounded by loyal fans, sports families, and boosters. 22 These young competitors have certainly proven themselves to be dynamic 23 athletic leaders, and we are confident that as they meet future 24 challenges, they will take with them the valuable lessons they have ..... 25 gained through their participation in field hockey; therefore be it
