The senate of the 136th general assembly of Ohio is congratulating the Ohio State University club football team on winning the 2025 National Club Football Association Championship. The team, known as the Buckeyes, achieved this title with a perfect undefeated record and defeated Coppin State by a score of 28-8. The team's achievements and leadership are a source of pride for the players, their families, school, community, and coach, James Grega. The senate commends the team on their tremendous season and salutes the members and coaches as fine citizens. A copy of the resolution will be transmitted to the Ohio State University club football team.

A RESOLUTION
Honoring The Ohio State University club football team as the 2025 NCFA Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate The Ohio State University club football team on winning the 2025 National Club Football Association Championship; and
WHEREAS, A remarkable group of young athletes, the members of The Ohio State University club football team have combined talent and spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish themselves as truly exceptional competitors. With admirable dedication, the Buckeyes have worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in football, and as a result, they defeated a tough Coppin State team by the score of 28-8 to win this year's NCFA Championship, their second consecutive national crown and fourth such title in six years, and finished the season with a perfect undefeated record; and
WHEREAS, The Buckeyes' achievements and leadership are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent reflection on the players, their families, their school, their community, and their coach, James Grega. In leading their team to victory, Coach Grega and his staff have not only helped the athletes to develop their talents to the fullest but also instilled in each a valuable sense of determination, perseverance, and camaraderie; and
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to these exemplary athletes and their outstanding coaches for a job well done. The maturity and experience the team members have gained through their participation in sports will greatly
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend The Ohio State University club football team on its tremendous season and salute the members and coaches as fine citizens; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Ohio State University club football team.
