A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Maggie Purdy for outstanding service to the State of Ohio.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Maggie Purdy for 2
her loyal service to the Ohio Senate; and 3
WHEREAS, Throughout Maggie Purdy’s distinguished tenure, she has 4
demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing her duties and 5
fulfilling her responsibilities with the utmost diligence and 6
competence. Starting as a fellow with the Ohio Legislative Service 7
Commission, she went on to serve as a senior legislative aide for 8
Senator Stephanie Kunze before being named the deputy press secretary 9
for the Senate Majority Caucus. In her work, she has been instrumental 10
in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the legislative 11
process and in ensuring that our state continues to uphold the ideals 12
that are embodied in our constitution and in the laws enacted under 13
it; and 14
WHEREAS, The expertise and professionalism Maggie Purdy has shown 15
in her endeavors have gained her the admiration and esteem of all 16
those with whom she has been associated. As she reflects on her 17
service with the Ohio General Assembly staff, she has the satisfaction 18
of knowing that she has provided a valuable service to the state, and 19
her record of achievement will stand as a hallmark for others to 20
emulate; and 21

WHEREAS, Maggie Purdy’s contributions to the State of Ohio have 22
been greatly appreciated by everyone who has had the pleasure of 23
working with her. She has displayed exceptional devotion, 24
responsibility, and enthusiasm over the years, and we offer best 25
wishes as she begins a new chapter in her estimable career; therefore 26
be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Maggie Purdy 29
for her exemplary public service and applaud her as a fine Ohioan; and 30
be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Maggie Purdy. 33
