Honoring the Ironton High School football team on securing the 2024 Division V State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Ironton High School football team 2
as the 2024 Division V State Champion; and 3
WHEREAS, The Ironton High School football team is made up of 4
remarkable athletes who have worked diligently to showcase the 5
collective talents of their exceptional squad. At this year’s Division 6
V State final, the Fighting Tigers won the crown with a score of 28- 7
17, and the members amply demonstrated impressive determination, 8
maturity, and finesse in pursuit of this achievement; and 9
WHEREAS, This triumph reflects the staunch resolve of these young 10
individuals, and it signifies the acquisition of valuable experience 11
that is sure to benefit them in later life. Thanks to the tireless 12
efforts of an exceptional Ironton High School football team coaching 13
staff, as well as the support of their Fighting Tigers community, 14
these athletes have met the demands of an extensive training regimen, 15
and they have just cause for celebration; and 16
WHEREAS, All those who comprise the Ironton High School football 17
team have set an excellent example of what a dedicated group of 18
athletes can achieve when guided by a committed coaching staff and 19
surrounded by loyal fans, sports families, and boosters. These young 20
competitors have certainly proven themselves to be dynamic athletic 21
leaders, and we are confident that as they meet future challenges, 22
they will take with them the valuable lessons they have gained through 23
their participation in football; therefore be it 24
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 25

Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the 26
Ironton High School football team on its 2024 Division V State 27
Championship title and count its players and coaches among the ranks 28
of outstanding Ohioans; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ironton High School 31
football team. 32
