A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring Regan Burke-Onda for outstanding service to the State of Ohio.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Regan Burke-Onda 2
for her loyal service to the Ohio Senate; and 3
WHEREAS, Regan Burke-Onda is a remarkable individual, for she has
combined civic concern and dedication with selfless initiative to 5
become a dynamic member of the Ohio Senate staff. Commencing her 6
tenure in 2017, she served in such office posts as a page for Senators 7
Cliff Hite and Frank Hoagland, a legislative aide for Senators Randy 8
Gardner and Frank Hoagland, and a senior legislative aide for Senator 9
Hoagland before becoming the executive assistant for President Matt 10
Huffman and Chief of Staff John Barron in 2020, adding the title of 11
policy advisor to that role in 2022; and 12
WHEREAS, Over the years, Regan Burke-Onda has given generously of 13
her time, energy, and abilities to assist the Ohio Senate and has 14
demonstrated a praiseworthy commitment to the success of state 15
government. She has provided a valuable service by helping to maintain 16
the efficiency and effectiveness of the legislative process, and 17
without the efforts of people such as she, many services that are 18
currently available to the constituents of our state would cease to 19
exist; and 20
WHEREAS, Regan Burke-Onda’s contributions to the Ohio Senate have 21

been greatly appreciated by all those who have had the pleasure of 22
working with her. She has displayed exceptional devotion, 23
responsibility, and enthusiasm in her endeavors, and we extend best 24
wishes for the years to come; therefore be it 25
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Regan Burke- 27
Onda on her exemplary state service and salute her as one of Ohio’s 28
finest citizens; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Regan Burke-Onda. 31
