Honoring the Olentangy Berlin High School competition cheer team on winning the 2024 OHSAA Division I Spirit State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Olentangy Berlin High School 2
competition cheer team as the 2024 Ohio High School Athletic 3
Association Division I Spirit State Champion; and 4
WHEREAS, The talented Olentangy Berlin High School competition 5
cheer team is, indeed, to be heartily commended for decisively earning 6
this year’s OHSAA Division I State Championship as well as Best of 7
Category awards for band chant, fight song, and crowd leading. The 8
squad’s performances, which culminated in a sixth-place finish at the 9
national competition, reflects the outstanding collective effort by a 10
gifted group of athletes, and without exception, the team has devoted 11
countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak 12
conditioning. Clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome 13
dividends; and 14
WHEREAS, The members of the Olentangy Berlin High School 15
competition cheer team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision 16
that befit true champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they 17
have consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting 18
strength, exuberance, and grace in every challenging encounter. Time 19
and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their 20
unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse 21
have earned them widespread respect, even among their most formidable 22
rivals; and 23
WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule, the members of the 24

first-place finish is a measure of their stalwart commitment to the 27

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 30
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Olentangy 31
Berlin High School competition cheer team on its 2024 OHSAA Division I 32
Spirit State Championship and wish its members continued success in 33
all of their future endeavors; and be it further 34
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 35
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Olentangy Berlin High 36
School competition cheer team. 37
