A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring the Pickerington High School Central cheer team as a 2025 OASSA State Champion.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Pickerington High School 2
Central cheer team on securing first place in the Division 1 game day 3
building category at the 2025 Ohio Association of Secondary School 4
Administrators State Cheer Championships; and 5
WHEREAS, An extremely talented group of young athletes, the 6
members of the Pickerington High School Central cheer team have 7
certainly distinguished themselves as one of the finest squads in 8
Ohio. Under the capable direction of their coaches, they performed 9
admirably at this year’s OASSA State Cheer Championships, earning 10
first place in the Division 1 game day building competition. They are 11
certainly deserving of applause; and 12
WHEREAS, The members of the Pickerington High School Central cheer 13
team have conscientiously applied themselves to the quest for 14
excellence, and time and again, they have risen to the occasion, 15
maintaining their morale, composure, and good sportsmanship. Clearly, 16
their enthusiastic involvement in competitive cheerleading has enabled 17
them to learn much about dedication, self-discipline, and leadership, 18
and in the process, their exceptional prowess has made their families, 19
friends, and coaches very proud; and 20
WHEREAS, The members of the Pickerington High School Central cheer 21
team have consistently demonstrated the talent, confidence, and 22
motivation that are the hallmarks of true champions, and they have 23
earned the respect of even their most determined rivals. The maturity 24
and experience which the students have gained through their 25
participation in this sport will undoubtedly assist them in meeting 26

e challenges of the future; therefore be it 27
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 28
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the 29
Pickerington High School Central cheer team for exemplary achievement 30
and salute the members as some of Ohio’s finest young citizens; and be 31
it further 32
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 33
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Pickerington High School 34
Central cheer team. 35
