Honoring Adam Mattin on securing the 2025 Division III State Wrestling Championship at 126 pounds.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Adam Mattin as the 2025 Division 2
III State Wrestling Champion in the 126-pound weight class; and 3
WHEREAS, Adam Mattin’s accomplishments are truly noteworthy, for 4
he has clearly demonstrated his talent and perseverance, as well as 5
his mental and physical fortitude as a wrestler. As a member of the 6
Delta High School wrestling team, which placed second at this year’s 7
Division III State meet, he has exemplified all of the characteristics 8
that are essential for success both in and out of the sports world, 9
including courage, integrity, and an innate sense of the principles of 10
good sportsmanship; and 11
WHEREAS, By developing such remarkable prowess in wrestling, Adam 12
Mattin has earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the 13
devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even his most 14
determined rivals. Indeed, his outstanding record of achievement, 15
including his three state titles, is sure to inspire future 16
generations of Panthers; and 17
WHEREAS, Wrestling is a sport which requires exceptional stamina 18
and natural ability, and Adam Mattin is to be commended for his 19
commitment to this demanding activity. In attaining his athletic 20
goals, he has certainly distinguished himself as a true champion; 21
therefore be it 22
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize Adam Mattin 24
on his state wrestling championship and honor him as a fine Ohioan; 25
