Honoring the Delaware Hayes High School NIRBII team on being named a top team in the NASA App Development Challenge.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Delaware Hayes High School 2
NIRBII team on being selected as a top team in the NASA App 3
Development Challenge and being invited to visit the Johnson Space 4
Center in Houston, Texas; and 5
WHEREAS, Delaware Hayes High School NIRBII team members Madeline 6
Bruns, Nat Zahniser, Jason White, Elise Buckerfield, and Isaac Highman 7
have striven to cultivate their knowledge and skills and have amply 8
demonstrated their ability to meet challenges with enthusiasm and 9
confidence. Displaying an exceptional willingness to work hard to 10
achieve superior results, they created a mobile application for the 11
NASA App Development Challenge that simulates the upcoming Artemis II 12
mission, and their impressive efforts secured their team a berth in 13
the next round of the competition; and 14
WHEREAS, The accomplishments of the Delaware Hayes High School 15
NIRBII team are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent 16
reflection not only on the members but also on their families, their 17
advisor, Joanne Meyer, their school, and their community. They have 18
exhibited a sincere desire to fully develop their talents so that they 19
might fulfill their goals in the future, and this, coupled with their 20
responsibility and initiative, shows their potential to become some of 21
tomorrow’s finest leaders; and 22
WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional discipline, perseverance, and 23
resolve, the members of the Delaware Hayes High School NIRBII team 24

have clearly identified themselves as conscientious and hard-working 25
individuals, and with their initiative and enthusiasm, they have won a 26
host of admirers. The knowledge and self-confidence the students have 27
gained through their participation in events such as the NASA App 28
Development Challenge will no doubt be of great benefit to them 29
throughout their lives; therefore be it 30
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 31
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the 32
Delaware Hayes High School NIRBII team on its success and extend best 33
wishes to them on their journey to Texas; and be it further 34
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 35
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Delaware Hayes High 36
School NIRBII team. 37
