A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Columbus Grove High School girls basketball team on securing the 2025 Division VI State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Columbus Grove High School girls 2
basketball team as the 2025 Division VI State Champion; and 3
WHEREAS, The Columbus Grove High School girls basketball team is 4
made up of remarkable athletes who have worked diligently to showcase 5
the collective talents of their exceptional squad. At this year’s 6
Division VI State Tournament, the Bulldogs decisively won the state 7
crown 65-46 to claim their first such title in program history, and 8
the members amply demonstrated impressive determination, maturity, and 9
finesse in pursuit of this achievement; and 10
WHEREAS, This triumph reflects the staunch resolve of these young 11
individuals, and it signifies the acquisition of valuable experience 12
that is sure to benefit them in later life. Thanks to the tireless 13
efforts of the exceptional Columbus Grove High School girls basketball 14
team coaching staff, including Head Coach Brian Schroeder, as well as 15
the support of their Bulldog community, these athletes have met the 16
demands of an extensive training regimen, and they have just cause for 17
celebration; and 18
WHEREAS, All those who comprise the Columbus Grove High School 19
girls basketball team have set an excellent example of what a 20
dedicated group of athletes can achieve when guided by a committed 21
coaching staff and surrounded by loyal fans, sports families, and 22
boosters. These young competitors have certainly proven themselves to 23
be dynamic athletic leaders, and we are confident that as they meet 24

future challenges, they will take with them the valuable lessons they 25
have gained through their participation in basketball; therefore be it 26
RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 27
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the 28
Columbus Grove High School girls basketball team on its 2025 Division 29
VI State Championship title and count its players and coaches among 30
the ranks of outstanding Ohioans; and be it further 31
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 32
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Columbus Grove High 33
School girls basketball team. 34
