A R E S O L U T I O N
Honoring the City of Findlay on being selected as the 2024 Top Micropolitan in the U.S
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the City of Findlay as the 2024 2
Top Micropolitan in the U.S. according to Site Selection Magazine; and 3
WHEREAS, Findlay is deserving of high praise, for it has placed 4
first on the Top Micropolitans list for 2024, the eleventh straight 5
year it has received this distinction. Indeed, this remarkable 6
community has enjoyed the benefits of a generous and innovative 7
population, and this prestigious award underscores the efforts of area 8
residents to make their city an exciting entrepreneurial hub of 9
business growth that continues to attract economic investment; and 10
WHEREAS, It is through the diligent efforts of communities which 11
are willing to invest in their future that the State of Ohio continues 12
to grow and prosper. During 2024, the City of Findlay invested more 13
than $\$400$ million in 24 projects that created 269 jobs, and these 14
accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an excellent 15
reflection on the municipality for its economic development work. 16
Indeed, such efforts have helped to make the area a pleasant and 17
friendly place in which to live and work; and 18
WHEREAS, Since its establishment, Findlay has experienced dramatic 19
growth and change, and commendably, its residents have exuberantly 20
embraced the promise of a bright future while never relinquishing 21
their appreciation for the worthiest virtues of the past. The city 22
radiates vitality, optimism, and a charm all its own, and its 23
businesses, both old and new, continue to invest in and expand in the 24
local community, contributing to its ongoing success; therefore be it 25

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 26
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the City of 27
Findlay on this tremendous accolade and offer best wishes for the 28
years to come; and be it further 29
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 30
authenticated copy of this Resolution to the City of Findlay. 31
