A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Alaina Freeze on winning the 2025 OATCCC Division III State Indoor Championship in the pole vault.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Alaina Freeze as the 2025 Ohio 2
Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Division III State 3
Indoor Champion in the pole vault; and 4
WHEREAS, A senior at Northwestern Jr./Sr. High School, Alaina 5
Freeze has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest 6
ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly 7
exceptional athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked 8
diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in her sport, and as 9
a result, she won first place in the pole vault with a state- and 10
school-record setting mark of 12 feet at this year’s OATCCC Division 11
III State Indoor Meet; and 12
WHEREAS, Alaina Freeze’s accomplishments and leadership, both in 13
and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and an 14
outstanding reflection not only on her but also on her family, her 15
teammates, her coaches, her school, and her community. Her unwavering 16
commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of 17
many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and 18
WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role 19
in the total education of our young people, we are overjoyed to pay 20
tribute to Alaina Freeze on an exemplary season. Indeed, the maturity 21
and experience she has gained as a member of the Warriors track and 22
field team will aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; 23
therefore be it 24

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 25
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Alaina Freeze 26
on her Division III State Indoor Championship and look with optimism 27
to her ongoing success; and be it further 28
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly 29
authenticated copy of this Resolution to Alaina Freeze. 30
