Honoring the Pickerington High School Central girls basketball team on securing the 2025 Division I State Championship.
WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 136th General Assembly 1
of Ohio are pleased to salute the Pickerington High School Central 2
girls basketball team on placing first in the 2025 Division I State 3
Championship tournament; and 4
WHEREAS, Establishing a reputation for its skill and tenacity, the 5
Pickerington High School Central girls basketball team is an 6
impressive group of athletes whose talent and teamwork are unmatched. 7
At the 2025 Division I State Championship, the Tigers defeated the 8
team from Princeton High School by a score of 47-44, securing the 9
title, and this victory will be celebrated for many years to come; and 10
WHEREAS, The members of the Pickerington High School Central girls 11
basketball team rose to the occasion and proved themselves to be a 12
dynamic force in high school sports. Truly, these outstanding athletes 13
can be proud of the accomplishments that were hard-won and deserved 14
throughout the season; and 15
WHEREAS, By remaining faithful to the highest standards of 16
sportsmanship and teamwork, the members of the Pickerington High 17
School Central girls basketball team primed themselves under the 18
guidance of Coach Johnathan Hedgepeth to secure this year’s state 19
crown and reach their full potential. Indeed, the Tigers have shown 20
superb skill, enthusiasm, and commitment in all of their endeavors; 21

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 136th General 23
Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, recognize the 24
