AB 1090: Alcoholism or drug abuse treatment facilities: County of Orange pilot program.
This bill establishes a pilot program to improve the investigation of complaints against adult alcoholism or drug abuse recovery or treatment facilities within a specific county. The program would be implemented by the state department of health care services in partnership with the county. The county would be required to reimburse the department for the costs associated with the program, including investigator compensation and benefits. The pilot program would be completed by December 31, 2029, and the county would be required to submit a report on the program's results to the legislature by December 31, 2030. The provisions of the bill would be repealed on December 31, 2034.
